Ten Card Rummy

Ten Card Rummy is a condensed version of basic 13 card Rummy. The rules are mostly the same, but with a few slight differences. In Ten Card Rummy, the number of players can range from 2 to 6. A two-player game requires a standard 52-card deck. If you play with more than two people, you will need two standard 52-card decks.

How to Play Ten Card Rummy

Similar to basic Rummy, the objective of Ten Card Rummy is to create sets and sequences with the cards in hand. There are eleven rounds of Ten Card Rummy. At the beginning of each hand, players receive 10 cards. For a player to win a round, they must be the first to get rid of all the cards in their hand by forming sets and sequences (runs). For example, a 4 of Spades, 5 of Spades, and 6 of Spades is a run. - Set (book) - A set in Ten Card Rummy consists of a minimum of three cards of identical rank, regardless of suit. For example, a King of Diamonds, King of Spades, and King of Hearts is considered a set. To win, a player must form at least one pure sequence (in combination with sets). A pure sequence does not contain any Jokers or wild cards. Once you have a valid hand of sequences and sets, you must “declare” your hand.
